Unspun: Obama didn't know about IRS tactics regarding TEA Party

This morning this writer ran across this headline:

Aides kept Obama out of loop on IRS

“White house Chief of Staff Denis McDonough and other senior advisors knew in late April that an impending report would likely say the IRS had inappropriately targeted conservative groups…”

 [(From Page 4, May 21, 2013 Minneapolis Star Tribune) This writer would have preferred to give you the link to that article, but that headline goes to a different article on the topic instead of the actual article.]

This article goes on to say no one told President Barack Obama about this situation.
For those readers blindly loyal to either major political party, you might as well stop reading now as no amount of logic, nor historical reference, is going to change your mind. However, for those of you who believe “The Truth will set you free”, this article should provide a new perspective on politics in America.

Unspinning the Spin

To begin with, the very principles of Journalistic writing embrace the status quo.  In Journalism classes they teach that news articles are supposed to be short and without the writer’s commentary.  However, the shorter the article, the more the reader is required to “fill in the blanks” from their own experiences. And major media, the education system, government and the two major parties of America have trained citizens to engage in the following perspective of reality:

If someone belonging to the other political party does something wrong, it is extremely bad; If someone from my political party does something wrong, it is not so bad, ok or can be overlooked.

The effect of forcing writers to be brief results in making it very difficult, if not impossible, for writers who strictly adhere to these proffered news journalism rules to effectively challenge status quo thinking. Getting reader’s to “think outside the box” aka “challenge the status quo” takes a lot more words and effort than just writing in a manner that embraces current status quo thinking.  More importantly, since major media writers usually rely upon their writings to earn a living, when the boss says “your writing does not follow the rules of news journalism” either they comply, or find themselves looking for a new job. Effectively, major media writers and journalist are censored, without being explicitly told they are being censored.

NUCLEAR WAR, FISCAL TAR & GOP/TEAPARTY DUPLICITY

For those of you not old enough to remember, the end of the cold war was preceded by a number of treaties to reduce the overall number of Nuclear warheads in the world (SALT Treaty Talks). Some of the involved countries would always protest, feigning insult to the insistence that inspectors be allowed into their country to verify their compliance with the treaty. Failure to Disclose equals Presumption of Guilt
Along those same lines of thought is the human predisposition of presumed guilt arising from the failure of anyone to disclose information upon request. A sentiment reflected in the following line of reasoning from parents and law enforcement throughout most of history:

 “If you have nothing to hide, why won’t you answer my questions, show me the item in question and/or let me search your room, car, residence and/or business?” 

While individuals are supposed to have 5th Amendment privileges against self incrimination, our government does not.

And this insight into human behavior was so fundamental that the Founder’s made provisions for “Transparency and Accountability” in our Founding Documents:

The fundamental understanding our US Founding Fathers had in drafting our constitution, is People under Natural Law have free will, and are not virtuous by nature. Therefore, governments must be constructed in anticipation of the nature of man. Acting on this knowledge, our Founding Fathers built into our Government and Constitution, various checks and balances.

Fishing Opener – Elite have “played out” the rough fish

Fishing Opener - in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes and taxes, is upon us. This weekend Minnesota Lakes, Rivers and Streams will be filled with anglers looking for a great shore lunch. (And working on excuses to be fishing during the opener rather than doting on mother for Mother’s Day – Happy Mother’s Day moms J) Fisherman, Fisherwomen & Fisherfolks will be angling to play out and land their trophy trout, walleye or other monster trophy fish.

Definition of “Trophy Fish”: Trout, Walleye or other desirable Game fish that Anglers (Fishermen, Fisherwomen, Fisherfolks) want to catch and suitable for mounting. (Game Fish as opposed to Invasive Species and Rough Fish that most anglers do not want to catch like Carp and Suckers.)

Definition of “Running”: A fish swimming, moving and/or maneuvering after being hooked, in a manner intended to make escape possible.

Definition of “Play out”: The original definition of this term came from the activity of fishing. Playing out, Played out, Play out refers to letting out line while a fish runs and exhausts itself, before reeling it in. This avoids the fish breaking the line while running.

Usually this requires a series of events consisting of:

    1) Hooking the fish with a jerk of the rod;
    2) The hook fish then “running” to escape;
    3) Giving the fish slack in the line so it does not break the line while running;
    4) The fish tiring and exhausting itself and resting until exhaustion passes and it feels reinvigorated;
    5) Reeling in the fish while it is exhausted and not “running”;
    6) The fish becoming reinvigorated and running again
    7) Repeat steps 2 to 6 until the fish gives up or is close enough to shore or the boat to be landed or netted.

Essentially the fish goes through a series of maneuvers aimed at achieving its goal of escape but actually do nothing but exhaust itself, and make itself easier to be caught.

The Fishing Opener brings to mind the strategy of the two major political parties in managing the politics of our nation. To begin with, the two major political parties no longer look upon WE THE PEOPLE (aka rank and file Americans) as citizens. Instead the 2 major political parties look upon us as livestock; Livestock to be managed and manipulated to the benefit of the of the largest and/or most powerful campaign contributors. (We never lived in a Democracy. The USA was founded as a constitutionally-limited, Representative Republic. We now live in a Plutocracy – Government by, and Justice to, the highest bidder.)

Celebrating uncelebrated American patriots on this Memorial Day

This Memorial Day many will gather to hear from or about the heroism and sacrifices of Generals and War heroes.  Others will watch war movies all day, taking time out to grab food off the barbecue and converse with family.  And still other Americans will only think of today as the last day of a three day weekend vacation. (Liberty gained too cheaply, is valued to lightly)

This Memorial Day this writer would ask his readers to reflect upon, pay tribute to and pray for (if the latter is within your belief system) a long overlooked group of war veterans. Today this writer asks you transport yourself back in time to the American Revolutionary War...

And consider the mindset and courage of not the well known American figures such as George Washington, but the common soldier.  First, imagine the specter of joining a rebel army facing the largest military power in the world at that time.  And imagine fighting for the relatively new ideals and ideas of "liberty" and "self-determination" after centuries of the "Feudalism" and the "Divine Right of Kings".  And imagine the consequences of belonging to a defeated rebel Army during and after said almost laughable skirmish; long before the Geneva Convention for the treatment of military prisoners.   It would be easy to understand the wisdom of not participating in such a ridiculous rebel uprising, especially with fanciful and lofty ideas being the root cause of the insurrection.

Now, also of the mindset of the person or family that might be caught supporting, aiding and abetting such a outmatched military enterprise and then receiving unmitigated retaliation and punishment. It would have been relatively easy for...

Fiscal TAR success! Wisconsin gives citIzens internet access to its checkbook

As this writer's regular readers are aware, this writer has pressed for Fiscal TAR (Transparency, Accountability and Reform) since the Summer of 2009. Wright County Minnesota refused to adequately respond to this writer's request for County financial information. Said information is supposed to be a matter of public record. This request was prompted by large Property Tax increases in a short few years. The limited and poorly formatted fiscal information the County finally provided was only after prolonged and repeated requests as well as a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) demand. My full requests have yet to be provided. What happened to Government Transparency?

Among the snotty explanations County Apparatchiks provided was they did not have to provide the data in a usable format. This writer's request that Wright County just post their budget, actual revenues and actual expenditures on the internet was met with recalcatrant laughter. The Minnesota State Auditor, Attorney General as well as State and Federal Legislators were unwilling or unable to help.

In response to thus situation, in 2010 and 2012 this writer proposed the following Caucus Resolutions and Legislation in Minnesota:

All Minnesota Municipalities (Counties, Cities, Schools, etc.) are required to post their budgets and actual expenditures and revenues on the internet In terms understandable by the average high school graduate with no aggregates greater than $100.00.
That said records shall be maintained on the internet for 10 years and be easily downloadable to fully functioning spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel
June 2011 - Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, Pro-Wresting & the US 2 Party System 2/2 (see Heading "Financial Reform" http://goo.gl/pu38d

I suggested they should post it all on the internet in a format the lay person could understand but that has not happened either.

I ask each of my fellow citizens to ask all State Senator, Representative and Gubernatorial Candidates to support legislation requiring all municipal governments from this point forward to post and maintain on the internet the last 5 years of their budgets and actual expenditures. I call for this information posted in laymans terms with no aggregated amounts exceeding $100 dollars.

10 IRREFUTABLE POINTS AGAINST MORE GUN CONTROL

Though he has lost the first round, President Obama has pledged to press the fight for more gun control. The definitive persuasive arguments contained herein are written in anticipation of the governments continued efforts to dismantle the 2^nd Amendment. This article contains 10 irrefutable points against more gun control which are based in Common Sense, Natural Law, Baser Instincts and Constitutional Rights.

Before anything else is said, let us acknowledge the loss of innocent lives as the infuriating tragedy that it is. Further, let us vigorously express our empathy and sympathy for the survivors and the loved ones of the victims and pledge to hold the perpetrators accountable.

Within the parameters of these 7 points, every single rank and file American will find they are less vulnerable to being manipulated against their own best interests by the “Powers that Be”. Restoring the Republic - The Empire strikes back

As this writer’s regular reader’s are aware, we began 2013 with our proposed apolitical “Political Boot Camp” New Year’s Resolutions. Natural Law, Natural Rights, Divine Right of Kings, Consent of the Governed and the Enlightenment. To help us share a common perspective to evaluate experiences and data we encounter, we must each study, abide by and evaluate our experiences in the context of Natural Law.

In what seems to be a response to these proposed Political Boot Camp Resolutions, this writer has became aware of various rumblings within the Academic Community. Last week this writer became aware of this article “Education plan reopens divide on U.S. history” http://t.co/c6ZobtnU

Once the reader gets past the “America the Ugly” dialogue, you come upon an attempt to Turn Natural Law into a matter of religion. And anyone who can see a few moves ahead, can anticipate that this is an attempt is to prevent Natural Law cannot be taught in the Schools.

The words “Law of Natural” aka Natural Law and “Unalienable Rights” appear in our Declaration of Independence.  Our Bill of Rights itself is the reduction to writing of certain Natural Law Rights. In fact, at one point it was argued that these Certain, Unalienable Natural Law Rights were so obvious, that there was no need for a Bill of Rights.

That having been said, this writer is hard pressed to understand how our educational system will....
